An ancient cave city carved into a rock outcrop, dating back to the early Iron Age. Fewer visitors make it here than to Georgia's other landmarks, which only adds to the appeal.

A Black Sea coastal city with a lively promenade, a botanical garden and a skyline that mixes Soviet-era buildings with modern towers. A good add-on for travellers wanting a beach stop alongside the mountains and wine.
