What Is the Best Time to Visit Dubai?

Dubai has a clear cool season and a hot season, and the time of year shapes how much of your itinerary happens outdoors.

Cool Season (November-March)

Best for: Desert safaris, beach days, walking tours, outdoor dining, city exploration

Ideal destinations: Dubai Marina, JBR, Old Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, the desert

If you asked us: This is when Dubai is at its best outdoors, so book desert safaris and beach time early, it's also the peak season for hotel rates.

Shoulder Months (April & October)

Best for: Warm but manageable weather, thinner crowds, better hotel rates

Ideal destinations: Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah

If you asked us: Plan outdoor activities for morning or evening and you'll still get comfortable conditions without peak-season pricing.

Summer (May-September)

Best for: Malls, theme parks, museums, evening experiences

Ideal destinations: Dubai Mall, Museum of the Future, Global Village, Dubai Aquarium

If you asked us: Lean the itinerary indoors and save the desert and pool time for early morning or after sunset, the heat is serious.

A Culinary Journey Through Dubai

Dubai's culinary scene is a flavourful mix from around the world — enjoy authentic Indian flavours, traditional Arabian cuisine, elegant fine-dining restaurants, chic cafes, beachfront eateries and vibrant street food, all within the same city.

Vegetarian food is never a problem in Dubai. Restaurants serving Indian cuisine offer plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from.

Travenza tip: Balance one evening of fine dining with skyline views against a meal in Old Dubai, the contrast between the two sides of the city is part of the experience.

🎭

Culture & Traditions

Dubai's unique cultural blend can be found at every corner, and is best explored through Old Dubai, its traditional souks, authentic Emirati food and a wander through its heritage zones. It is a city where traditional values exist harmoniously alongside modern advancement.

A day tour to the capital city of Abu Dhabi makes for a wonderful add-on, letting you experience grand monuments such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Travenza tip: Dress modestly when visiting the Gold Souk, Old Dubai and any mosque, and take an abra ride across Dubai Creek for a quieter, older view of the city.

🛍

Shopping in Dubai

Shopping in Dubai is an experience everyone should have at least once in their life. For clothes and fashion accessories, head to Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Walk and Dubai Marina Mall, where luxury clothing brands, global high street names and resort wear are all easily found. Dubai Outlet Village is the place to find branded fashion at more affordable prices.

Gold and diamond jewellery can be found at the Gold Souk, while spices, saffron, dried fruits and herbs await at the Spice Souk. You can also shop for Arabic perfume, oud, attars, incense, lanterns, handicrafts and local souvenirs at Meena Bazaar, Global Village, Souk Madinat Jumeirah and the Dubai Creek souks.

Travenza tip: Head to the Gold Souk and Spice Souk for traditional buys, and save the malls, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, for international brands and air-conditioned browsing in summer.

🚗

Getting Around Dubai

Dubai is extremely easy to navigate. You can use taxis, book a private transfer, take the metro or local buses, or join one of the many organised tours available. While the metro works well for certain specific areas, taxis and private transfers remain the most convenient option for groups and families.

Choosing the right hotel location can make a real difference to your trip, since many of Dubai's sights and attractions are spread across the city.

Travenza tip: The Metro is efficient for Downtown, Marina and JBR, but arrange private transfers for the desert safari and any Abu Dhabi day trip, taxis are easy but ride-hailing apps can surge in price at peak times.

Visa Guide

Citizens of India need to obtain a UAE tourist visa to visit Dubai, unless they are eligible for visa-on-arrival status. Tourist visas are normally arranged through authorised travel agencies, airlines, hotels and other eligible channels. Since visa requirements can change, we recommend verifying your eligibility before your trip.

Indian citizens holding a valid visa or residence permit from certain other countries may be eligible for visa-on-arrival, provided they comply with the regulations in force in the UAE at that time.
